I have been guilty of asking God for His presence to fill a room or His Holy Spirit to fill this place. I have been enlightened through revelation from reading the written Word of God and believe we need to be more accurate in our prayers.
If the presence of God showed up we would be annihilated. Burnt to a crisp. Our bodies made up of mostly water would boil to evaporation, then cooking our flesh until we burst into flames and become ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Moses wanted to see God's glory. God put Moses in the cleft of a rock and covered him with His hand. Moses saw the back of God and not His face. I will show you All My Goodness. God showed Moses all the glory of His Goodness. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, "Goodness", faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Since the greatest of these is Love, goodness would be level four of God's power. Since God created the Sun, who is more powerful. The thing created or it's Creator. Exodus 33:18-23, Galatians 5:22,23 Which brings us to the second part of our prayers. Fill this place. The presence and the power of God is in the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you. The Holy Spirit will be with you and in you. John 14:17 OK, (with you), would be in the room but, why is He not In you. If He is in us the only reason He would leave and be on the outside of us would be sin. We might not think it is sin to watch an R rated movie but, does Jesus like watching his children get tortured and killed? I believe the Holy Spirit takes one step Away from us each time we meditate, abide, participate in the things of the world that are not uplifting. This takes discipline to renew the mind. It is up to us. Romans 12:2 Father God, In the name of Jesus, Fill us with the Holy Spirit to produce good fruit to be given to others. Holy Spirit, distribute gifts as you will (John 12:11) and Father fill this room with Angels to protect us (Psalm 91:11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.) and minister to us (Matthew 4:11 and Angels ministered to Jesus.) according to Your will. Make us one with You and Your Only Begotten Son. (John 17:20,21) In the name of our Anointed Lord, King Jesus. Amen. Lord means Superior and Christ means Messiah or Anointed One. Our Anointed Superior King Jesus. Or, Our Anointed Lord of Kings Jesus. Ever notice that Our Father in heaven is the God of gods and Lord of lords. Deuteronomy 10:17 And, Jesus is the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Revelation 17:14 even though it is listed in the wrong order in Revelation 19:16 and http://biblehub.com/1_timothy/6-15.htm Since God is Lord, a Lord is Greater than a King.
