Matthew 19:16-19 Just then, a man came up to Jesus and inquired, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to obtain eternal life?” “Why do you ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” “Which ones?” the man asked.
Jesus answered, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.’ Notice that Jesus did Not mention to not make engraved images. He changed the Second Commandment to Love your neighbor. By loving your neighbor you are being obedient to the First Commandment. How do we Love God? By being Obedient. Also, notice that Jesus did not mention The Sabbath. He knew that The Pharisee's Would Break The Commandment Given By God While The Israelite's Were Still In Egypt. Exodus 13:6 For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the LORD. Unleavened bread shall be eaten during those seven days. Nothing leavened may be found among you, nor shall leaven be found anywhere within your borders. And on that day you are to explain to your son, ‘This is because of what the LORD did for me when I came out of Egypt.’ It shall be a sign for you on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that the Law of the LORD is to be on your lips. For with a mighty hand the LORD brought you out of Egypt. Therefore you shall keep this ordinance at the appointed time year after year. Jesus was crucified "During" the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Jesus "ate" the Passover "Supper" and was arrested at Twilight. ...on the "First day" of Unleavened Bread, when they "sacrificed" the Passover lamb, His disciples said to Him, “Where will you have us go and prepare for you to "eat" the Passover?” Mark 14:12 Leviticus 23:5 The Passover to the LORD begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. Jesus partook of the Jewish Passover And Became The New Passover Lamb. Unfortunate for them but not for everyone else. Jesus said that He is the Lord of the Sabbath, but How? By Becoming a Blemished Lamb. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Galatians 3:13 God made Him who knew "no sin" (unleavened) to be sin (leaven) on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. Hebrews 7:26 The "Unleavened" Bread that came down from Heaven became Leaven/A Blemished Lamb, during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And this bread, which I will give for the life of the world, is My flesh.” John 6:51 Eat The Flesh
